About 1947 Indian Cuisine
Authentic indian restaurant

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Novi, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Michigan run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Novi is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Novi follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Loved the food! The chicken biryani was delicious, and the mango lassi was one of the best Iโve had. They use house-made sweetened yogurt for both the raita and the mango lassi, which gives them a fresh, rich, desi flavor. The raita pairs perfectly with the biryani, and the mango lassi is definitely a must-try. Highly recommend!

This was a great place! 10/10 experience๐Lotsss of authentic food options. Our waitress, Anika was so kind and extremely helpful, especially with recommendations. Kina, the chef was sweet and the food he makes is phenomenal. Lamb was cooked perfectly. We even got to taste some of his homemade chocolate mousse that was to die for

My friend swears by this place and finally I was in Detroit long enough to head out to Novi to partake. To be honest the stripmall diner vibe is not that inspiring, but the staff was very welcoming, so we grabbed a booth and settled in. The first hint of legitimacy came with the menu itself. There is no attempt to Americanize the names of the dishes or explain the ingredients. And the diversity of fusion dishes is stunning, melding Indian to Turkish to Chinese. Thankfully my friend knew exactly what to order, including some variety of kebab style skewers, dal, yogurt, chicken in basmati rice, and pukari onion. The servings were generous, and the little sides were perfect to dip and drizzle on the mains. The second hint of legit is in the spices. These are not your mainstream flavors here. Get ready for intense herbaceous experiences that span the various cuisines, and be prepared to be surprised and savor the unknown. Also order mild, the heat is still there. We ordered medium, which was fine for my friend but I was glad there was yogurt to calm the spirits. All in all I recommend, with the cautions I described above. Enjoy!

The banquet hall looked beautiful, and the food was served hot and delicious right on schedule. It truly made the celebration awesome with Incredible food, a gorgeous space, and top-tier service. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. If youโre looking for a birthday venue with amazing catering, this is it!

Was an Indian restaurant before. Their buffet setup seems to be in a good spot for lunchtime. Not sure why they have a Christmas music station, itโs a bit late for such jingles, no? Ordered Gobi Manchurian, gravy, Chana masala, dal makhani, dal tadka, bhindi masala, mushroom matar, minus the matar (peas), all spicy, garlic naan. $111.22 The Gobi Manchurian with gravy, the cauliflower isnโt crispy. Itโs yummy sauce. Would get it dry and crispy the next time. Service was good throughout our meal. Waiting to get our bill paid and a bag and container to go yet, as a large party arrived. A big party is waiting for the back room to get setup. The Chana masala, mushroom, dal tadka, dal makhani, garlic naan and seasoned basmati rice are all good. Good heat and flavor too. It gets a bit chilly as itโs only 18 degrees outside, kept my vest and coat on.
